I had a new CD. Fast. Loud. Energetic. It was a mainstay in the player for weeks. I was in the car singing along when I realized I had the lyrics wrong. Though alone in my car, a flush of embarrassment came over me – didn’t last long. Silly me. Replay. Listen closely. Still makes sense, “It’s just a story of a king….” What are they saying? Replay. “…who gave up his life for something better….” What’s better than king? Hmmm. Replay. “It’s just a story of a kid who gave up his life for something better than himself.”* That made me smile. Turn up the volume. Replay.
